What is the process of transferring title deed?

Someone wants to give me their house and I want to know what is the process we must go through?

    If the property is paid off and there are no outstanding taxes or liens, the attorney (well, his paralegal) would do a title search, draw up the new deed, you and the other party would sign it, it would be witnessed, and recorded at the county court house.

    Lawyer draws a deed of gift, you pay to record it and you deal with the IRS.
