What football position should I play?
I'm 5' 9.5" tall and I weigh 138 pounds. I'm a really skinny guy and I might try out for the football team in my freshman year (I start high school next week) and I haven't played football on a team a day in my life. Well if there's anything else to know just ask it below and i'll put it in the extra details below okay well thanks bye.

Based on your height and weight, I believe that the best fit for you is at the wide receiver position. Considering that you are entering your freshman year of high school, your height gives you the potential to become a very elite high school wide receiver.
What you need to do this month is eat healthy, and exercise by doing a lot of running every day. If you do these two things, you will greatly improve your chances of being successful in football this season.

You should definitely put on some weight.
Right now u seem like a:
Free Safety: not afraid to tackle, enough catching ability to intercept.
Wide Receiver: Great Catcher can take a hit really well. good elusiveness and not afraid to be touchy
Cornerback: not afraid to be touchy. can make a tackle when needed, can intercept and are agile.
BTW u gotta be really fast to play any of these anyway.

if you put on about 20-30 pounds in mucsle, you can play anything except lineman in high school. try to bulk up and play safety or something. defense is the most fun

You should ask your coach this question. He is the one that will make the ultimate decision of where & if you will play. He bases this decision upon your abilities and the needs of the team. Good luck.
