Weber and Predators arbitration today?
Preds are not allowed to walk away from the contract.
How much do YOU think he's worth?
How much do you think he'll get?
Keep in mind that he made $4.5 M last season.
@tomjc43: per NHL.com: "The Predators will have to accept the contract no matter the terms because by filing for club-elected arbitration, they prevented other teams from signing Weber to an offer sheet this summer but also forfeited their rights to walk away from the arbiter's ruling."

Depends on what Weber is offering and what the Predators are offering.
If he were playing in a major market he may well have won the Norris Trophy.
If he were on the open market he'd get $7mm per season because he's darn good at hockey.
EDIT: The arbitratror awarded him $7.5mm (one year deal).
Keep in mind that history says he won't be in Nashville this time next year (9 of the last 10 cases that made it to the arbitration hearing have moved on). In terms of players, among the players that have had cases and went away...Roberto Luongo (same deal as Nashville with team-opted arbitration), Mike Cammalleri, and Danny Briere to name but three.

Why do you think that the Preds cannot walk away from the contract. It was a player instituted arbitration. So the team can walk if they wish. But they won't.
He is worth $7.5MM per year. That is what he should get.
It will be a one year deal and he will be traded after next years' arbitrated contract.

The Predators currently have the lowest payroll in the NHL, according to capgeek.com, at $41.2 million. The salary cap floor rests at $48.3 million. Poile has said that he believes his payroll for 2011-12 would be higher than his 2010-11 payroll, which was near $52 million by the end of the season.

Preds fan here. Living a nightmare because both parties promised this would not happen and yet here we are. You are correct that the Preds cannot walk away from arbitration since they are the ones who asked for it.
Weber's worth today....$7.5 to $8 mil
What will he get...$6.5 to $7 mil

I think he's worth $5 million.
I think he will either get $3.5 million for 1 year or $3 million for 2 years.
The problem is, we have to understand this is the NHL, not the MLB, or the NFL, or the NBA, or the Barclays Premier League (soccer). Players aren't getting paid $10.5 million a year. If they were, Crosby, Ovechkin, and Lundqvist would be making $10.5. In the NHL, the average salary is around between $1 and $2 million, so I wouldn't expect Weber will be underpaid.

I'm expecting around $5.5 Million- $6.75 Million a year. He's the franchise player of the team. I can see him making that much each year.

Weber wanted $8M a year, and Nashville wants to pay him $4.5M according to TSN. Weber is a $7.5M man. And I can only laugh at the person who said he's gonna get $3M.
