is it wrong of me to let you know?

How can i love someone without telling them how to be saved

im not the type of person to be "preachy" but i feel it is important to warn

Peter told us exactly what to do Acts 2:38- Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins and ye shall receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

John 3:5 says- Verily verily i say unto you, unless ye be born again of the water (Baptism in Jesus name) and of the spirit (receiving the Holy Ghost) ye shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Acts 2:1-4- 1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

So you see here the evidence of them receiving the Holy Ghost was speaking in tongues. Which is the baptism of spirit talked about in John 3:5

God shows us what it takes to be saved!

Is it wrong of me to let you know?

Update:

for those of you accusing me of trying to preach on here i told you i wasnt.. calm down.

and how am i pushing anything on anyone? if you cant take it, dont read it.

Why not live and let live?

The Paraclete gave Understanding of languages. Reversal of this Doctrine was begun by Protestants. The Holy Ghost gave UNDERSTANDING, not “speaking.” The Faith is learned by hearing from Christ’s Church & His appointed teachers.

The Holy Ghost also did not give a "teaching ability" but a FAITH in Christ's Church to know the truth, He brought the Grace of Understanding in order to "learn" the Faith. The Gifts of the Holy Ghost are Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, & Fear of the Lord. Sacramental Grace given in the Sacraments is necessary to be able to receive these gifts. One receives Sanctifying GRACE in valid Baptism, & at the Age of Reason the Holy Ghost “confers” His Gifts in the Sacrament of CONFIRMATION. There is no "in tongues" anywhere in the scripture.

It was a nice CATHOLIC thing to do but it takes UNDERSTANDING, Grace & doctrinal texts to verify what is actually a doctrine. Catholic & Protestant Doctrinists study decretals & patristics & they know that the bible is not a textbook of explanations, which is why we cannot understand it without help. That is why Christ instituted His Church, to teach. If you are teaching people you must “hear” correctly. Yahooists can tell the difference quickly. If you think teaching of “tongues” is how Catholics began, see ACTS 8:30-31. We cannot understand the texts without the True Church.

It is not wrong, but it can be thought of as wrong if someone doesn't want to be approaced with it.

No more then if they appoached you with their beliefs, would you stand there and allow them?

Suppose an Atheist approached you and started telling you why, there is no God...would you then tell him/her to leave you alone? You see, they would be gettinging into your "space", that belongs to you, and when you feel that they are uninvited, you do not like it. That is what it is all about.

Try telling a person who likes yellow cars to buy a red one, or telling a woman wearing short skirts to wear long ones...or someone eating unhealthy foods, by your standards, and you try to tell them not to....you are invading their space....you see?

What you need to do, is leave it up to God...for He is aware of all things, and when the time comes, He will handle it.

I used to be a superviser and handled a few people, working under me. I had to learn each one of their ways of doing things, so that I could handle the person. What worked for one, didn't necessarily work for another. That is human nature. The point is, no two people are alike, so what works with some, won't with others. Some will actually feel offended by someone approaching them about religion. So leave it up to God. He has a way of handling things.

No, it is not wrong at all. But it is one thing to inform, and another to pester or harangue, which can alienate people.

Since this is Yahoo Answers, and not Yahoo Preachers...its not right that you put this up in here. You know you're just going to get flamed right?

No it's not. But, others feel it's not right...but, they do the same.

before you go preaching about your god, show some evidence he exists. Until you do that, I don't want to know about your book of lies

Yes it is wrong of you because there are no such thing as gods.
