Some people say there is. Fajr is the 2 Sunnah Rakahs that you pray before the 2 Fardh Rakahs, which are called Subh.

But I disagree. They are the same. So many people (truly) believe that they are the same thing.

    I hope that helps. :)

P.S. However, 'Fajr' and 'Subh' are two different words with different meanings. Fajr = Dawn; Subh = Morning. But 'Fajr prayers' and 'Subh prayers' are the same (2 Rakahs Fardh).

Different terminology used by Muslims (differing from region to region) as a result of Muslim countries borrowing words from the Arabic language. Linguistically, the two words point to two different things but essentially, it refers to same thing: the dawn prayer.

Urdu speaking people call it subho and Arabic speaking people call it fajr.

    No difference in rak'ats.
