What's the best player your team has ever DRAFTED?

Unlike other professional sports leagues, MLB draft picks have a way of not ever playing for the team that drafted them. So, who is the best player your team ever DRAFTED, and what did you team do with them? (We're talking about ametuer draft, not rule 5 drafts or expansion drafts.)

Marlins: Adrian Gonzalez: Traded to the Rangers for Ugeth Urbina in 2003.

I also am a Marlins fan and Adrian Gonzalez is a great player and I really hate to see him doing so well in other cities, such as Boston and formally San Diego.

But what about other Red Sox player Josh Beckett, two postseason complete game shutouts in the 03 run and is the ace of the Boston staff now in 2011.

    Cleveland Indians:

Dennis Eckersley - 3rd round 1972. Traded to the Red Sox in '78.

Albert Belle - 2nd round 1987. Free Agent, wanted more money.

Jim Thome - 13th round 1989. Free Agent, wanted more money.

Manny Ramirez - 1st round 1991. Free Agent, wanted more money.

C.C. Sabathia - 1st round 1998. Traded him because he wanted more money.

Brian Wilson - 30th round 2000. Didn't sign. Drafted in the 24th round by the Giants in '03

Tim Lincecum - 42nd round 2005. Didn't sign. Drafted in the 1st round by the Giants in '06.

As you can see there appears to be a theme of the Indians being cheap. The Giants can thank the Indians for the title last year because without Lincecum and Wilson they wouldn't have won.

The best is probably Eckersley since he's in the Hall of Fame but Sabathia or Lincecum could be when their careers are over.

Ryan Volgesong. Drafted in 1998 and was given to the Pirates in 2000? Best Draft ever because he came back.

My sought after team is the Bears, and that they've had such particularly some great options by way of the years (alongside with some considerable flops). i assume if I had to %. one, it would be Walter Payton (1975). the two on the sector and rancid, Payton substitute into all classification. for valuable, he substitute right into a regular pollhall of Famer. relax in peace, Mr. Payton.
