    x² - 3x = 7x - 2 x² - 10x + 2 = 0 For the quadratic equation ax² +bx + c = 0 the formulation : the values of x are [-b (+ or - ) + ?(b² - 4ac )]/2a for this question a =a million b= -10 c = 2 x = [-(-10) + ?(10² - 4(a million)( 2))] /2 and x = [-(-10) - ?( 10² - 4(a million)(2))]/2 x = [10 + ? ninety two]/2 and x = [10 - ?ninety two]/2 x = 19.6/2 and x = 0.4/2 x = 9.8 and x = 0.2

    The quadratic formula is -b +- sqrt (b^2-4ac) all over 2a

    a=1

    b=-3

    c=2

    3 +- sqrt (9-8) / 2

    3+- sqrt (1) / 2

    so the two final answers are

    y = 3+sqrt(1)/2 and 3-sqrt(1)/2

    y = ( x - 2 ) ( x - 1 )

    If y = 0 , x = 2 , x = 1

    Also if :-

    x ² - 3x + 2 = 0

    x = [ - b ± √ ( b ² - 4 a c ) ] / 2 a

    x = [ 3 ± √ ( 9 - 8 ) ] / 2

    x = [ 3 ± 1 ] / 2

    x = 2 , x = 1

    x = (- b +- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac))/(2a)

    x = (3 +- sqrt(9 - 4(1)(2))/2

    x = (3 +- 1)/2

    x = 4/2 = 2 or x = 2/2 = 1
