Course requirements if auditing a class?

I am a college grad, but I will be auditing a class at a local college just for my own satisfaction, I know I don't get a final grade, but am I required to do homework, take the exams, write any papers?

Thanks.

No, you don't have to do the work or even show up for class, but you might learn more if you do both. The point of homework, exams, and paper isn't just for the grading - it's useful assessment of how well you've learned the subject and is motivation to study harder than you would do otherwise. I audited a calculus class once, and it didn't work out very well for me because I always found a reason to skip class since it didn't matter to my degree.
