Wanting to dye dark hair...help?!?
I am 16 and my hair is really dark brown-almost black and I want my hair lighter, preferably a chestnut or chocolate brown.
I bought a box dye of chocolate brownie and dyed my hair at the beginning of the week and it has not made a difference-I can only see it in bright light but it is more like a 'tint'.
I was thinking of going to get another colour but someone told me I would have to bleach my hair. So I have 2 questions.
1. Would I have to bleach my hair [from a salon] just to lighten it?
2. Is it okay to dye my hair again after 4 days of dying it?

I think for you , bleach your hair. Since your hair is difficult to dye. Go to a salon. You'll waste money on the boxes. if you go to salon, tell them to bleach. So they'll get straight to it.

yes you are going to have to bleach it first but usually you can buy bleach from walmart or any other drug store you bought your hair dye from.
the longer you wait the better but its not like your hair is going to fall out if you only wait four days.

yup you're going to have to bleach it. but for your own safety i would go to a salon and let a professional do it for you. (that's what i did)
