Does Ron Paul have a chance?

Question

I have noticed that yahoo answers has quite a good Ron Paul following. I am just hoping that the rest of the country is the same. His name hardly even rises on any of the news stations...
I know he is the only one that will actually do what he promises as he has done for many years now.
So does he have a legitimate shot at the white house?

i think so. i also think the republicans should pull their heads from their asses and nominate him if they want a shot at the presidency. none of their other candidates will get the independent vote.

No his Libertarian position on Social issues (open borders, legalize drugs, etc) will kill hi,m in the Primaries and if he runs as Independent, he will only siphon 6-8% of Republican votes.  Remember Ross Peroit?

Ron Paul has a very strong following among people who live in their parents' basements. Outside of that demographic he has virtually no support. Sorry.
