Why does my sony cybershot camera tell me to turn it off and on again when i try to zoom in?
it's the DSC-W35 model (7.2 megapixels)

You can try going to the nearest authorized Sony service center. They have the best aftersales service there. Don't get offended if they advise you to buy a new camera. It seems your camera is a bit outdated already. I'm sure it still takes fabulous shots all the time so it may be worthwhile to have it repaired.
