Stocking ideas for a 20 gallon tank?

I have a cycled 20 gallon (long) tank and I need some ideas to stock it. I like to have fish that will breed pretty easily, but i've already done the whole livebearer thing and i am looking for something a little different. I was thinking 2 dwarf gouramis and maybe like 3 platys and a few shrimp. Can those all get along? Are the gouramis hard to breed? Any other ideas are appreciated!

    You want somthing to breed...

Well it depends on what you want the fish to be.

Cory catfish are easy to breed.. except you have to move the eggs once they laid them its fairly easy

Then there are kribensis the lay eggs and they actally take care of their eggs and babies.. its pretty cool to wacth them bond and stuff its easy.

so you're all over the livebearer thing, but still want a platy?

I like the idea of doing something different, so do something different, platy isn't different.

gouramis are hard to breed, you'll need super water quality and lots of live food,

you won't be as successful with just 2 of them and a bigger tank would be better although it's possible.

do some googling and try to find some forum posts on the subject.

a school of 6-8 neon tetras and a school of 8-12 different colored glofish will look good in a 20 gallon
