Should I still feel this bad?

Okay, when i was 12, i was taking a walk with my neighbor. She was 8, if even that old. Well, while we were walking this car drove by with this young girl in the back seat, she just stared, and she looked terrified. I seen the car park in my neighborhood, so i started to walk that way... I was with a 8 year old so i didnt get to close to the car. I hurried up and took the 8 year old home. When i started walking back to the car it looked like the guy that was driving the car was raping her... I feel like such a bad person for not doing anything, but im not sure if thats what even happened. I was 12, and that guy could of killed me if i would of tried to do anything. I was a victim of attemptive rape, not to long after i seen this happen... Is that why i feel bad, or should i just feel bad anyway? Do you think im a bad person? I want the truth.

It was bad, but not your bad Hun, you were a kid. No need in raking yourself across the coals on this one. The freaking pervert hurting the child was the one who not only victimized that girl, but as it seems, yourself as well. If this really taxes your heart, is there any way to find out who the girl was? There is no statute of limitations on the rape of a child so... if the freak is still alive, justice could still possibly be done. Just a thought.

Well I understand where your coming from. At 12 years old you really don't know what to do in that situation. You could've been hurt if you would've walked up to the car,but then again you should have helped her. Maybe you should go to counseling for this,because it's not healthy.
