Why UK riots, when it is England that is rioting?

English dave you are talking nonsense and being very ignorant according to this years GDP Scotland is subsidising the rest of the UK that is a fact !! not that myth you are trying to pass of as a fact. your own governments figures are you going to say they are lieing? do the research before making up story's.

Annoys the life out of me than the media are bringing Scotland and Wales down to the same level as the savages in england on a global scale, sooner Scotland gets independence the better, we'll be laughing as Scotland gets better and use lot get worse

As always they are just trying to protect their precious England. Its a joke. Its the first thing I thought when I saw 'UK riots'. Scottish people wouldnt stand for this kind of ****. Many have-a-go Glaswegians would confront the wee neds straight away if they started smashing windows and looting shops in the city centre, especially if they have a drink in them! lol

Has been lone incidents not actual riots in Cardiff, but yes that annoys me too we are United when it suits England and when England does something positive it is England. It wouldn't bother me if it was consistently referred to as UK it is the fact that it is when the BBC (or EBC lol) feel like it.

Interesting point, but it’s not “English Broadcasting Corporation” (I think you mean British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC) that refers to the events as “UK riots” - its foreign news corps that use that phrase. The BBC describe the rioting location by *city*; London Riots, Birmingham, Manchester and so on.

The opposite is also true; when the news is reporting a positive aspect of England it’s referred to as the “UK” not England. Give and take.

i hear that it started when a man with a gun got shot dead by the cops n the dead guy's friend decide 2 get back @ the cops who kill their friend so they started the riot 2 teach the cops a lesson but the riot get out of hand.

Everytime theres a riot in Belfast its "The Belfast Riots " but its happening in england so its "The UK Riots "

Im just glad Scotland hasnt joined in .....instead our cultured , civilized nation is just sitting back laughing at the sheer pathetic english , who have no idea how to control their own country.
