I want to lose weight safely, advice?

Ok, now I know there's 100's of these questions. So here's a bit of background. I used to be a size 8 as a teenager, now I'm a woman, so I don't expect to be this size, I'm fine with that. But I'm now a size 16 and the majority of this weight has piled on in the past year. 3 stone to be exact. I have been to a dietician, been tested for PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome, had my thyroid checked etc and theres no medical reason for the weight gain. I've been on Zenical/ Orlistat. My diet has been fine so clearly it's the exercise part I need to get under control. Gym's aren't really an option due to time and money. I have a treadmill in the house and I go swimming.

I'm 5ft, 13.2st with a BMI of approx 37.

So any advice that isn't just "diet and exercise" I'd love to hear. It's got to the point where I don't go outside anymore, and that sucks. I just want to be a healthy weight, maybe 10st and a size 12. I've curvy and happy with that, I don't want to be stick thin, just healthy. Can't stress that enough!! I'd like to be a size I'm confident with :)

Cheers in advance guys :)

zumba is pretty fun. you could also find some nice bike trails. bike instead of drive when possible, and yoga is really relaxing and it's really healthy.

I know how you feel, I am 5ft 5 and 12st and I have been dieting on and off for 30 years but recently I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have to stick to a healthy diet and exercise, I also tried the Zeneical and gained 3lbs because all I did was run to the toilet every 5 minutes and couldn't go out the house for the 2 weeks I took it and I was always starving, it gave me terrible stomach pains which took months to go away after I stopped the pills. Recently because of the diabetes and needed to do exercise and like you I am not one for going to the gym I decided to go a 30 minute walk most days and the weight started to come off, I lost 14bs but recently I have got lazy again and i can feel it creeping back on but i am still on the healthy diet. Dancing is also good exercise, put on your favourite music and dance away and it will burn up calories and get you fit. Don't think as far ahead as 10st and size 12, just think about being healthy and lose around 2lbs per week and you will keep it off. Good Luck.

Do you live in the UK?

If so, join in a weight watchers or slimming world regime.

I'm 15, and I started doing slimming world with my mum at the beginning of the year; I've lost 2 1/2 stone, and she's lost 4 stone. There isn't much excersize required as long as you keep yourself active, and stick to the diet plans! :)

I can definitely help if you're willing to give me some information. Feel free to P/M me with this information...

I need to know what you eat in a typical day (amount of calories is even better per item) but i'm pretty good at simply gauging what you're putting in your mouth so a list of foods in a typical day and time frame you eat your food would help.

Reason I ask is b/c I don't think your diet is clean as you would think. Even if it is clean, you may be eating too much of it and too much of anything in your system, will turn to fat. I think your portions may be too high b/c if they weren't, you wouldn't have packed on so much weight.

For me, Im also trying to lose weight. This is what I do, that doesnt involve not eating.

I exercise everyday by taking 40-1hr walks every morning and evening, 10 minutes of situps and I cut down my dinner (eating veggies with small bowl of rice). I eat perfectly normal for breakfast and lunch except I have cut my sweets and junk. I eat fruits as a snack.

Im getting results from doing this, so I hope it helps! :)

least complicated way is to attempt to adhere to a one thousand-1400 calorie weight-alleviation plan and reasonable exercising. carry out a little weights to boost your metabolism. attempt to fill up on "rougher" grains inclusive of total grain bread, pasta, brown rice, and so on... they help save you complete longer because of the fact it takes your physique awhile longer to break down the rougher grains and your blood sugar point won't spike making you sense complete longer. verify you drink sufficient water, countless cases once you sense hungry some water will unquestionably make you sense complete. attempt to consume around 3 foodstuff and a pair of-3 snacks an afternoon each 2-3 hours whenever you're hungry. this is troublesome first couple months yet as quickly as you get into the groove this is enormously complication-free.

okay, to get into shape , speed up your metabolism, rid yourself of excess toxins in your blood or fat to lose weight ,,,,,do as follows:

Stop drinking & smoking (if you do this regularly)

eat fruits & vegetables all you can (buy a food/rice steamer to make it easy on you)...(vegetables might not seem "tasty", like junk foods, at first,,, but can be as you aquire your taste to them..and are loaded with energy and nutrients)...avoid all junk food, cokes, sweets, etc...and drink water . If you eat meat ,,use only steamed, baking or grilled methods for preparing fish or chicken.

also, do an hour of walking each day at least. or some type of excercise.

    * you should lose about 10 lbs per month
