difference between manga and anime?

In the anime/manga inuyasha are there any differences between the anime and manga like things that are left out? especially, are there any moments between kagome and inuyasha that are in the manga that are not in the anime?

The main difference is that the Manga are essentially comic books. The anime is the TV rendition of them. Not all manga have an anime counterpart and not all anime are based on a manga.

Smaller differences are that the manga only shows the main story arc. Anime show the main story arc along with filler arcs scattered in between. In these filler arcs the main story is put on hiatus and a different, much shorter, story arc is played out. These are usually placed once the anime passes a critical point in the main story, e.g. The Gotei 13 Invasion Arc began after the defeat of Aizen in the main story of Bleach. These fillers aren't always full arcs and can be just stand-alone episodes where the protagonist is presented with a, usually comic, dilemma which is resolved by the end of the episode, e.g. the episode of Naruto in which Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura devise elaborate plots in order to see Kakashi's face which is usually hidden by a mask. These standalone episodes can also be fan-service episodes, e.g. the beach episode of Bleach. Generally, these wouldn't be included as chapters in manga but I'm sure there are some exceptions.

Anime also has heavier censorship than manga. This can include profanities, nudity, sexual reference or violence which is be shown in the manga but toned down or dropped altogether from the anime due to studio censorship policies and censorship laws, e.g. Bleach's Tia Hallibel's outfit was made less skimpy in the anime and a particularly violent scene from the manga was toned down to just show blood when in fact the character had received serious injuries. Hentai (pornographic) anime is heavily censored in it's raw (unaltered) state even though the manga clearly shows body parts.

Those are the main ones I can think of off the top of my head. Hope I helped.

Yes! There are some things in the anime that aren't in the manga and some things in the manga that aren't in the anime.

I highly recommend reading the manga. Also, have you seen the new season, InuYasha: The Final Act? A few more InuYashaXKagome moments in there. ;]
