I expect one of two things, and as far as I can see, they depend on our actions now, either:

we will continue our cycle of each generation coming closer to progressing mankind in a much needed, good way, but then will back away from it for a myriad of reasons including greed, as true progression of mankind cannot be profited from, laziness, as it will require a tremendous amount of work, anger, as someone in the world somewhere will do something to tick us off and we will spend all of our resources on war, sexual urges, as people will chastise people for exercising them, and resources will be wasted on an over production of children (rather than reasonable, moderate reproduction which would be sustainable), class maintenance, a want for the traditional ways of some having more and some having less, especially counter productive if those who have more don't want the extra work if using all those resources for the common good, or are too proud of attaining what they have to want to "throw it out the window", a continued "every man for himself" attitude, because if everyone is looking out for themselves rather than each other, the common good will never be maintained, and a sense of pride, which leads people to believe that they are better than others, so they shouldn't have to help "their" common good, because that person is already ok. and this cycle, fueled by these reasons, will continue while the common good slowly erodes away, and eventually becomes nonexistent and we then erode ourselves to our demise.

    OR,

We will step up, put aside ideologies which ultimately separate us into groups fighting each other, throw pride, greed, laziness, anger, and judgment out the window, come together as a species, gather all resources, and use them and our collective knoweledge to vastly improve mankind for ourselves and future generations.

Based on historical precedent, the first senario is more likely to play out though

Since not one person on earth currently has a scientific answer to your question, I'll assume you must be asking for an opinion.

Be careful, I had a question reported because apparently no one could possibly know the answer, therefore I was asking for an opinion, lol.

    I'm not a *****, so I wouldn't do that to anyone.

BTW, yes man will continue to develop, of course, but it would be interesting if we had some input from....................
