does financial aid check my bank account?

ok when i get my financial aid money, they send me a check. they dont transfer the money directly to my Chase bank account like some people, so i go to the bank and deposit it. im just wondering if they look at my bank statements and determine how much theyre gonna give me. like if i have a lot of money in my checking and/or savings account

    I don't believe so, If I am remember correctly the lender sends the money to the school you will be attending, the school takes out their cut and the school is the one who will distribute your financial aid, not the lender.
