What is the best way to clean a house?

I know it sounds like en elementary question, but now that I have about a week off from work I wanted to take the time to do seasonal cleaning. Where is the best place to start? What products should I use? What tools?

The least amount of chemicals the better.

I am also looking to wipe down the ceiling and wash the walls.

My apartment consists of 1 bathroom, 1 kitchen, 1 office, 1 bedroom, and 1 walk-in closet.

My other concern is the small space and so many things. I've been preparing by sorting through clothing and items that I will donate and other things to throw away.

It's a nightmare, but I know it will be well worth it once I have tools, strategy, and a method.

I want to get it done so I don't feel so crappy about the space anymore.

Any advice or positive feedback will help.

Thanks,

Overwhelmed Worker

    Lovely,

Here are some pointer for you:

1.- Always clean top to bottom.

    2.- Work clockwise.

3.- Wear protective gear when handling chemicals.

4.- Remove dirt, not just move it around.

    5.- Be detailed.

Maybe you can get some help too. Have a good friend help you. You can have a good chat while doing it and get some music going to help time go by faster.

You may also want to consider hiring a professional cleaning service or a maid service. Consider your budget and the time it will take you.

Cleaning a house can be easy when you have a good time doing it.

    Good luck!

Get organized and stay organized to make cleaning your home easier. Create lists and schedules of the different cleaning tasks. Assign specific cleaning chores to the different members of your household. Post those lists in your home. Keep all of your cleaning supplies such as cleansers (preferably multipurpose cleansers to save space), cloths, sponges and scrubbers together. Use small caddies to transport the cleaning supplies from room to room.
