Eviction notice from 2008. Not mine?

Ok. This is a very story but see if you guys can help. I went today to get a apartment. They ran a back ground check and told me I had a eviction notice from 2008 from a apartment I moved out of in early 2007. I gave the apartment people 30 days and paid what was owed. Well come to find out that the apartment people that I am trying to use uses a site to do backgrounds checks and credit checks. the site is called on-site.com. I called these people and they told me to call the apartment people and to call Davidson county court house to get more information. So I called the old apartment people and they could not find anything on me about me owing them money. They could not find information about me living there!!. So i ask the old apartment people if they could give me a note saying i did not owe them money and they said no and that is it. So i call the on-site.com and they told me I have to have a note. So i told the on-site people what they old apartment people said and they got rude with me and told me they don't give a **** what they said and that I need proof. So that is when I lost my cool and went off on these people and they drop the call fast. So my question is what Can I do. is there like any thing I can do. Can I sue these people for making false information about me? Also here is a good fact. I check all three credit report and they don't have anything on me about owing anyone money. Hell my credit score is 794. also the lady at the old apartment told me that they have three people with my first and last name that owe them money but it is not me because my middle name is diff from them. So i am thinking them people are looking at the wrong Robert Davis. Try to tell them and they told me that is not how it works. The on-site.com people. So if anyone can get me a number to metro Nashville tn court house where they do eviction notice would also help. I can not find a number any where. Any idea please feel free to say something.
