Why did my FedEx shipping go to the wrong side of the country?

I ordered something on Auguest 11th, and it said it would have 3-7 day shipping. I went on vacation, and thought it might be here by the time I got back. I went to track the package and it said it went to California. I live in New England! It doesn't say where it shipped from, just arrived at a FedEx Smartpost location in Los Angeles. Also, the estimated delivery date is the 25th! ?!?!?!

    Most likely just an error, though on occasion I have heard of packages being shipped on various odd routes.

    why didnt you give the tracking number did you think we would know it?

    you also do no say where the packing is coming from

    it still has time to get to new england..today is only 15

    next time tell us the tracking number lots of time tracking has the answer

    appaenlly smartpost means the deliver will be handled by the postal service- not fedex

    Possible it got put on the wrong truck going in the opposite direction.
