Hey. I'm cool.
Can you decipher these terms of service?
I signed up for this paid-to-click site which states that it pays out a minimum of $5000 dollars to members. It also says that it has paid $809,000 so far to its members. You click on ads and get from 5 to 1 dollars per click. The problem is, I don't know if the site is legit. I read the terms of service and it's confusing. What does this mean? http://www.paidontimeptc.info/index.php?view=terms...

1 AnswerProgramming & Design9 years agoIs this video okay to show in school?
I am doing a presentation about Japan and showing a video about sumo wrestling, located here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trycRmmVuW0
I am definitely going to show the beginning part where the guys are wearing shorts, but at about 1:45 it gets kind of weird and I was wondering if you think that is appropriate for school. I am a freshman in high school. Thanks
3 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education10 years agoDo ethernet couplets slow down the connection?
I just bought a new computer and the wifi is really slow where I set it up. I want to get an ethernet cable but the distance from my computer to the router is approximately 50 feet. I don't want it to be like 3 feet too short if I get a 50 foot cable, so I want a 75 foot cable. I was thinking about buying 3 25 foot cables and using 2 couplers to connect them and get them to my computer. Will using the couplers make the connection any slower than if I just used one long cable?

1 AnswerHomework Help10 years agoLetters before words?
Wow, I can't think right now. I think it's because it's summer?
What are the letters that you add before words called? Like pre, post, non, un, re, etc.
There's also a name for ones you add at the ends of words, like ible, able, etc...
I know this is obvious, but somehow I forget. First correct answer gets best answer.
3 AnswersWords & Wordplay10 years agoWhy did my FedEx shipping go to the wrong side of the country?
I ordered something on Auguest 11th, and it said it would have 3-7 day shipping. I went on vacation, and thought it might be here by the time I got back. I went to track the package and it said it went to California. I live in New England! It doesn't say where it shipped from, just arrived at a FedEx Smartpost location in Los Angeles. Also, the estimated delivery date is the 25th! ?!?!?!

A friend and I are making a slideshow for our 8th grade graduating class that will play at our ceremony. We need to come up with a list of questions to ask kids, and film, to put in at the end of the slideshow. My question is, what questions should we ask? Just questions about k-8th grade that would be interesting for the crowd to hear. Kthxbai
3 AnswersPrimary & Secondary Education1 decade agoHelp with dividing polynomials? *EASY BEST ANSWER*?
I was sick yesterday, so I missed an algebra lesson. It was about dividing polynomials. I just want to ask people what they think the answer is for this question, so I can compare it to mine.
For the problem (20w^2 + 39w + 18) / 5w + 6, I got the answer 4w + 15 - 12.
Please tell me what you think the answer is. If this is right, just say so, but if it's wrong, please explain why.
2 AnswersHomework Help1 decade agoHow was MyLifeisAverage made in PHP?
I am making a website quite like Mylifeisaverage.com, but it has a different theme. I was able to make a layout and everything using xhtml and css, and I know a bit of PHP. I was wondering how the system was made. I know how it works; posts are sent to a voting page, and once they reach a certain amount of votes, they are sent to the main page. I understand that, I just have no idea how it was coded. I made a database in MySQL, but I don't know how to use it like this. I made the forms for submissions and everything, but I just need to know how to do this. Thanks.

2 AnswersOther - Entertainment1 decade agoWhat does this dream mean?
The other night I had a dream that I was an ogre, but not a green one, like Shrek. I was purple with orang polka-dots. A kid named Jeraldo came up to me at school, and said, "Hey, guess what? YOU'RE AND OGRE!"
In my dream, I started to cry tears of joy. I was proud that I was an ogre.
Just as I was about to stop crying, a small remote controlled plane flew through my classroom window. It had the number 271,238 on it. Underneath this number wrote, "This is the number of polka-dots you have. I counted them.
I was quite frightened, so I peeked out the window to see who had sent this message to me. Lo and behold, there was a lone paper plate on the ground, staring up at me.
5 AnswersDream Interpretation1 decade agoWords that go well with Ian?
I am trying to think of a Youtube username that has something to do with my name, Ian. I want it to either have some adjective, verb or noun and then Ian, Ian before a word, or put the word Ian into another word, like Ianacceptable(but not that).
If you have a word before or after Ian, I want it to either rhyme, sound like Ian, or start with the letter I. Thanks.

1 AnswerJokes & Riddles1 decade agoBest Java learning book?
I've been trying to learn Java online (I've been using youtube.com/thenewboston's tutorials), but I think it might be easier for me if I get a book about it. I looked online, but most of the books I have ofund have no reviews or bad reviews. What is a good Java book I can try?
(By the way, my long-term goal is to be able to make video games from scratch.) Thanks.
4 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoHelp with programming a simple Java quiz?
I made a simple quiz in Java a while ago, but I have a little problem. Here is the code:
import java.util.Scanner;
public class ert {
public static void main(String[] args){
Scanner ian = new Scanner(System.in);
double aone;
double atwo;
double athree;
int bacon;
int cheese;
int lettuce;
int answer;
System.out.println("The Cool Test");
System.out.println("Answer 1 for yes and 2 for no.");
System.out.println("Question 1- Are you good at sports?");
aone = ian.nextDouble();
if(aone == 1)
bacon = 1;
else
bacon = 0;
System.out.println("Question 2- Are you good with computers?");
atwo = ian.nextDouble();
if(atwo == 1)
cheese = 1;
else
cheese = 0;
System.out.println("Question 3- Do you like Minecraft?");
athree = ian.nextDouble();
if(athree == 1)
lettuce = 1;
else
lettuce = 0;
answer = bacon + cheese + lettuce;
if(answer < 1){
System.out.println("You are super lame.");
}
if(answer == 1){
System.out.println("You are lame");
}
if(answer == 2){
System.out.println("You are kinda cool");
}
if(answer == 3){
System.out.println("You are cool. Nice job bro.");
}
}
}
It works fine as is, but how can I change this so the user inputs a 'yes' or 'no answer instead of '1' or '2'?
Thanks
3 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoGoals while learning Java?
I am attempting to learn Java, and I am beginning to get a little confused. I think if I set some goals for (kind of) simple programs I can figure out how to write, I will be able to learn more easily. What are some goals for me?
P.S. - I have already been able to sum up numbers/ find averages from an array, made a table from a multidimensional array, etc. I'm getting a little bit confused with making new methods and using multiple classes. Thanks.
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoWill McAfee protect me with this hard drive?
I have a hard drive (Seagate FreeAgent Go) that we bought for my old computer when it was being very slow, and it started to back up files. The computer got a virus, and we unplugged the hard drive. Since then, we got a new computer. This computer has McAfee, and I was wondering if this will automatically search it and destroy viruses before they have the chance to infect this computer. Thanks.
