Doesn't hurt at all, don't even worry about that part. It's the least painful piercing i have ever had, especially the healing process.
Ive had my piercing for about 2 weeks now, i got a horseshoe barbell and keep it flipped up all the time. I thought that there would be a possiblilty of it flipping down or something, but the way the inside of your nose is shaped theres things for it to stay in. I'm 5'6 and my mom's 5'2, she hasn't noticed at all. They hide VERY well

1. it wont hurt that much but you will still feel it unlike any other peircing as there are a few nerves there, it will feel like blucking a hair out of the most sensative part of your nostril it can be very uncomfortable, you get peirced in a little gap just below the wall that divides your nose. so dont think your bone nose or any hard tissue is gettin peirced.
2. you cant hide it for aslong as your parents are living with you, you will have to keep it in for atleast 6 weeks so you will have to tell them honestly.
Other comments: this type of peircing should only be stretched by 1mm at a time and it is advised to wait at least a month between stretches. If you go past a certain point, usually about 8mm, the cartilage gets forced towards the top of the nose, which can be uncomfortable.
hope this helps

1.it stings and your eyes water, but once it's done you should have no toruble at all:) it feels like apinch (but i did it myself and i have quite a high pain tolerance)
2. just twist it up inside your nose.. people shorter than me don't notice it (: and it's really easy.. if you take the balls of the end then flip it backwards towards your face then it should go in easy peasy :) but practise doing this in your room or something so you can do it quick :)
it doesn't bleed unless you bang it against something :L
mine took about a month and a half to heal properly
avoid being hit in the nose
don;t mosh with i tin
don't keep the balls on the horseshoe when it's twisted up 'cause the colour of the ball will come off
clean it regularly and flip it down befoire you do
+finally you WILL get alot of boogers stuck to the horseshoe so be prepared for that
and if it's constantly flipped up then you'll probably have the sniffles all the time :D
hope i helped <3
Source(s): i pierced my septum :) i'm fourteen - SunnyLv 410 years ago
Since the needle won't actually go through the septum -if you're using an experienced piercer- there will be a tiny bit of blood but there will be very little pain.
Expect healing to take at least six weeks. Use cotton balls or a swab stick with a warm sea salt water solution to cleanse your piercing. At times you will want to soak a cotton ball in the warm solution and just hold it against the piercing to relieve irritated tissues
Do not know how you will hide it, because if you take it out whilst it is healing, it will start to close very quickly

1. If you go to someone that actually knows what they are doing it wont hurt much at all... them putting the ring in was the worst part for me. Must wash it with sea salt at least 3 times daily. Q-tips are the best for that. I should take anywhere from 6-8 weeks to completely heal but the soreness will start to go away after about a week and a half.
2. i am 5'6 and both my parents are actually taller then me so it was a little bit easier for me to hide mine when i got mine done... but if you get a open hoop you can spin it up inside your nose... they also have clear spacers but i don't suggest you to change it until it completely heals. The open hoop would be your best choice but it will hurt to spin it that much. You need to constantly move it so when it heals it wont try to stick to the metal... once it sticks its hurts like hell to move it. Its not impossible but it will be a challenge.
please please please try to find a good piercer... if they do it right it really isn't that painful :)
hope this helped!
