yeast diaper rash treatment?
my 2 year old has a diaper rash that is starting to turn into a yeast/thrush infection. is there any home remedy for this, like, could i put plain yogurt on it instead of rash cream, or anything else i can do rather than getting a prescription?
not that i'm against getting a prescription, if that's what he needs, but if there's something easier and cheaper that wouldn't require a trip to the doctor, i'd rather try that first.
thanks

I suffered from severe yeast infection for years https://tr.im/NaturalRemedyYeastInfection
Note that:
If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment. If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

The first two answers are pretty sound advice. Keep his little bottom dry and aerated as mention previous. If you don,t see any signs that the rash is clearing up after a few days, seek immediate medical attention. If the baby is not running a fever avoid the ER and make an appointment with the baby's Pedie, ASAP. If your community has a health clinic, you might wanna check and see if there's a advice nurse available. Good luck!

No, for a yeast infection you MUST take him to the doctor. But you can use diaper rash cream in the mean time for the rash.

okay this might sound a little strange but brown some flour in a frying pan on the stove when its cooled down just rub it on the rash u can keep him in a diaper just be sure to change it more then usual and apply it after each diaper change. trust me itll work my son had the same thing and his 2 aunts who each have 3 kids told me to do this and i thought they were insane but i began to see resluts in a few days of continuing to use it. if you wanna spend money theres this stuff called 'butt paste'
