Help me! I'm in love with an anime character!?

I'm kinda pondering this, and it's not new either, but....

Is it psychologically normal to fall deeply in love with an anime character?

I go to a middle school where most of the guys are feminist ghetto skateboarders. I hate them. They are unattractive and show no respect for teachers or Mom's tax money, being held back and such. I have 3 friends in school, all of which are non-anime fans. Recently, I have been, dare I say OBSESSED with an anime character, specifically Switzerland from Axis Powers Hetalia. I write reader-insert lemons with him, and read others' too (implying that this is normal?). Others on the fandom are Yaoi-obsessed. Honestly, I don't really mind it, as long as it's not being shoved down my throat. Anyways, I have fantasies, sometimes romantic, sometimes.....um......how do I put this?....Sexual.

Is this a result of being a closet pervert, or a teenager thing? Mom asked me why I spend hours in my bedroom on my laptop to an unhealthy extent. I had no idea what to tell her, so I came clean and told her that I had a seemingly unhealthy obsession, but, will this pass?

HELP ME PLZ!!

If you think your crazy then i must be psycho! haha... its nothing to worry about hun... if u are attracted to a character that is appealing to the eye, you cant help but fall in love with his looks or attitude...no matter what even in real life.... its part of our biological system i guess haha. And i have had that problem spending hours on my laptop too... all because of anime... its popular... :D

Haha i've had the same problem as you who knows how many times :P It's common in a lot of girls. Trust me i've been through it and moved on. It's very natural for girls, it almost what anime is made for (well for girls). I was obsessed with Usui Takumi from Kaichou wa Maid-sama, then Zero from Vampire Knight, to Tsukiyomi Ikuto from Shugo Chara. Now i like Kurosaki Ichigo from Bleach :) As you can see your not alone. I only had romance dreams, but nothing sexual. If your having dreams like that why don't you take a break? Sometimes it's easier not to think about anime and do other stuff. Sooner or later you'll forget. I use to spend a lot of time on the computer too thinking and watching anime 24/7, but it's good to take a break once in awhile before you get hooked :P. Anyways, it's normal too feel that way. I did, and i bet a lot of other girls did as well. Hope this helps! Good luck too! :)

I almost cried when L died, but not eating for 2 days over a cartoon character -- thats just weird. Well, if you didn't really know that cousin, well i guess maybe thats why you didn't cry. But anyway to answer your question, yes, it is weird to love them THAT much.

i don't know how to respond to that but i'm obsessed and in love with an anime character i have pics of him on my computer i have posters of him i have asexual dreams of him but since i'm asexual which means you don't have a desire for smex but you're repulsed disgusted by it like i am i have romance dreams of him but no way in hell sexual but it's normal and when you get older it will go away
