Spain must be the strong favorites based on their performances last year and in 2008. Then you have Brazil with the home advantage. That said, World Cups are so unpredictable that really any of the top tier teams have a good shout.

Personally I have a feeling Germany will go all the way.

    Spain vs Germany

I still think Brazil will win. This isn't the best Brazilian team of all time, but playing at home is a huge advantage. It been many years since the Brazilians have lost a competition game at home. Both Germany and the Netherlands looked strong in their openers. I'd like to see the Netherlands or Italy win though.

The Netherlands - I've been a fan since the days of Johan Cruyff who I later got to see in person when he played for Washington.

Italy - lived in northern Italy for almost 14 years.

I don't really expect either to win though

Spain wont make it, their team is too fragile this year. Germany wont make it either, due to their terrible defending. England and Argentina? Pff, Both too weak. Brazil? Yes, they have a very strong team, Uruguay has a pretty good 11 this year too. I would like to add Portugal, because CR is on fire this year, besides having Fabio Coentrao, Nani, Moutinho, Pepe, Rui Patricio (GK), Bruno Alves, Bruma (The "black maradona"). My guesses are a Brazil - Portugal final, Brazil - Uruguay or Portugal - Uruguay.

I think that Germany are very strong at the moment and with the young team they definitely have a very good chance at lifting the cup.

Argentina have problems defensively, but arguably the best attacking force in the world, they also have some great prospects coming through the ranks, as well as some already solidified young players e.g. Pastore and Aguero.

Spain, of course, will be challenging, with a never ending supply of talent that they seem to have you can never put them out of the race.

    Uruguay - No

Brazil - Again good youth players coming through, home advantage, definate contenders.

England - Favourites for the under -21 championship earlier this year. But as always with the national team they were disappointing. They need to get their **** together to be honest.

Others with a realistic chance - France and the Netherlands

Germany might have the best team but I don't know if anyone will be able to handle Brazil at home. I like Brazil right now.
