Do you like my baby girl name?

My fiance and I decided we're naming our daughter Jadee (JAY-dee) Raye.

My sister says it sounds hickish lol I think it sounds cute :) What do you think?

I think it sounds cute, but cute is only good until they're like 7. I can't picture it on a grown working woman. Plus it's not very feminine. There's plenty of boys who go by JD and Raye is generally used for boys too. I'd prefer something more versatile like Jade Rosalie, or Jade Ramona. Then you could call her Jadee Raye as a nickname and she'll have more options and can sound more mature when she's older.

I agree. Jadee is nice, but the Raye does make it sound kinda country. If that's ur goal then its great!!

jadee is cute but raye at the end does make it sound a little country.

    It's ok but i prefer Jade-Rose/ Jadine/ Jadee-Rose for a combo :)

    Best combo's ever (in my opinion) Chloe-Louise, Emma-Louise Amy-Ja(y)ne and Holly-Stephanie.

:) But overall, it's your decision and your choice, and we all have our own opinions. <3 Good luck with your baby gurl, bet she's gonna be lovely/beautiful :)

    yyyyeeee ---hawwwwwww!

Why would you think a misspelled first name and a man's name for a middle name would be hick?

My advice? Jade Renee. That way it is a real name and not a goofy spelling she has to explain her whole life.

Or name her Jemina Danielle and you just call her "J. D." Again, a real name. and real initials. Not misspelled that makes you look kinda dumb (even if you are not.)

Source(s): When I was pregnant, we were going to call our child J. D. no matter, girl or boy. we settled on John Douglas and Jessica Dianne. We had John. He goes by Jack today.

    No.... I really don't.

Jadee doesn't sound like an actual name, just a nickname. There's no substance to it.

Raye is alright... I wouldn't personally use it because it's a bit bland.

I like both the names, but not together. They are both sort of not that popular. You should have try to get a more common middle name, Vanessa, Courtney, Roxie, Rayna (Queen), Aimee, something a little more "mainstream".

Yeah, your sisters kinda right. It sounds like something a pageant mom from here in West Virginia would name her "little princess". Ew.

I think it's cute. I reckon if you spelt it Jaydee people would pronounce it right first time. I like Jayda too :)

    Jaydee Raye

    Jayda Raye

    They're both cute! x
