Is any one else sick of...?

Is anyone else sick of these kinds of questions:

"How do I get my parents to let me get a dog? I want a dog so bad but my parents just wont let me, how do I change their mind?"

So I'm just wondering if anyone else is as sick of those questions as I am?

Update:

Anne Mbl: oh no naive your answer is.

I just find it sooo sad that there are so many people out there who know NOTHING about even basic care of dogs & cats - just by the questions asked on here there obviously are so many dogs being neglected and abused when these people have no business even owning one. I don't understand why people turn to this site for medical questions or even training questions.

And I'm so angry about people saying "but I can't afford a vet".....THEN YOU SHOULD NOT

    BE OWNING A PET....

But the sight is here for questions - sometimes some of them are so weird you just wonder if

someone isn't pulling your let. On the other hand, perhaps those of us who are knowledgeable

and have experience with dogs CAN be of some help in educating those others.

Kids will always want to ask how they can convince their parents to get a dog - but come one, YOU were a child once. This is a good chance for you to instill in them all of the money, time

and care a dog requires. It also gives you a chance to remind them their PARENTS have the final word - us people on here have no business trying to change their mind because we are not aware of their families financial issues, etc.

The list of annoying questions is long and ridicules. What really annoys me is when you answer a question and the other answers fit in with yours and the asker blows up because they didn't get the answer they wanted.. Then they come back with more information that can put a different lite on the question sometimes.

I just pass a lot of questions because they are so stupid. If your dog is dragging it's back legs what do you think you should do? There's more but it's time to stop.

No, kids are kids, they are not going to convince anyone, and they largely think having a dog is all adventures and cuddles and fun, cuz thats what they see on T.V etc, and if they have friends with a dog, you know how it is, we were all young and full of hopes and dreams once.

I don't mind the name games one either, I quite enjoy them, but there is one person who answers those questions who is always offended by any suggestions which could be in any way linked to native American culture i.e cheyanne, and makes a massive ''I'm so offended by your disrespect of native americans etc'' song and dance, which is really over the top, I mean come on, I'm a pagan roma gypsy, I don't get offended by pagan/gypsy names.

The only questions I find truly upsetting are the ones that involve dogs needing to be seen by a vet, and the ones that are related to a dog being abused/mistreated/ bred from by people not fit to care for a stuffed toy, and with the sense of a dog turd.

Yep, and a few other repeated questions too - eg. what shall I call my cutsie new puppy! And then there's all the is my b itch pregnant, in labour, how, when, why to say nothing of the my dog hasn't eaten for weeks, doesn't move, what do I do.

But I am trying to ignore these questions - much as this place is ADDICTIVE, but should come with a Health Warning.

ps Just recently it seems as if every dog on the planet has ANAL GLAND problems too LOL

Yep which is why I am, glad school will be starting soon. The number of those q's will go down til about thanksgiving-ish

ETA: Other top pet peeve Qs

    -Breeding in general

-Questions about a pregnant/in labor ***** who is obviously having a complication and should see the vet

-Question where the story keeps changing because the asker thinks if they ask at different times with different details no one will catch on and give them them the cyber cookie and pat on the head they are looking for.

Definitely! I tried to ignore them, but the questions still keeps getting asked and I just explode! I also hate the name your dog questions (I know my profile says I asked that question, but that wasn't me), my dog is sick, etc.

Uh huh. Also the *what is wrong with my dog*? *My dog hasn't eaten in 5 days, what could be the problem*?

Any questions about a dog that is obviously in need of a vet........drive me a bit bonkers.

I am sick of seeing breeding questions from people who are claiming they are not back yard breeders yet know nothing about breeding.
