A question about allowing immigrants to work in America with work permits?
I am trying to figure out how allowing illegal immigrants to work in our country with work permits will help our economy in the long run.
They work for low income because supposedly we won't, so their salary taxes, I suppose, are supposed to help our economy? How much help would it really be if they are taxing low salaries, not to mention that most of their income will be sent to their relatives in Mexico, not into our economy?
Are there more benefits to allowing this than what I have mentioned above?
Thanks for any comments.

Only 47% of all US households paid a net federal income tax last year. The remainder either paid no tax at all or got a complete refund on taxes paid, thanks to deductions for dependents and child care tax credits. There is no refund on FICA taxes paid. Employees paid in cash do not pay any payroll taxes.
Everyone in the US pays sales and property taxes, but these tax payments may be offset by public services received, such as public education for all children regardless of legal status, at a cost of $7,000-12,000 per year per child and public assistance benefits for US-born children of illegal immigrants. 87% of all households headed by illegal immigrants get one or more forms of public aid, usually food stamps and Medicaid for US citizen children. Though the US citizen children are the stated beneficiaries, it is the parents' low income that qualifies them, and it is the parents who get the EBT cards and the monthly TANF checks.
Whether legal or illegal, cheap labor isn't cheap when it had children it cannot afford to feed or shelter. Employers benefit greatly from illegal immigrant labor, taxpayers not so much.

Why do some believe the illegal Mexicans do, or will do the jobs Americans won't?
Just who do you think did these jobs before the Mexican invasion of illegals?
It is just a fact that they, the illegals have even cut and offered to work for less than was originally paid, even in many cases less then the minimum wage.
A good example of this cut throat job stealing is found in LA as a result of the last large hurricane, where the prevailing, non union wage for replacement roofers was about $15.00 per hour, and the illegals flocked in the area and offered to work unlimited hours for less than $10.00.
Since when do we need that kind of crap in our economy? that's what's wrong with Mexico and now they're bringing that here.

I don't understand. If someone's illegal, he or she shouldn't be in this country, let alone work. If they can have a job, that would have to legitimize them, wouldn't it?
