Information about a Ruger revolver.?
Can anyone give me some information on a Ruger Speed Six .357 magnum? It's polished stainless steel, never quite heard of such. I'd just like to know a little about the gun and the model.

It was basically the fixed sight version of the Security Six. A very well made and durable revolver. with yours being stainless steel it would have been manufactured sometime between 1975 and 1988.
Here is more info about these guns.

That is a slight variant of the standard Ruger Security Six which was ruger's basic medium frame revolver until they went with the GP100.
The security six has a reputation for being a very solid gun and a good economic value. The speed six was simply a round-butt frame type.

In addition to AK's answer, the Speed Six had fixed sights, the Security Six has adjustables.

imho the grip on the speed-six was a downgrade from the security-six, but they got it absolutely right on the original GP-100, pity they had to go and change that too, but they're all good solid guns
