Pregnant tests giving two results?
Hi I took a pregnancy test (first respond) not digital first and it said I was pregnant (the test with the two lines) and I really had to pee when I did it. I used two first responds digital after that test and kinda force myself to pee on it I only got maybe a couple drops on them and it said no. I was wondering which one seems more right?
I did just have a baby on June 14th too...

it says how long you have to pee on it if there wasnt enough urine of course its going to say neg. false positives are rare your pregnant.
what no one else is getting is that you said the neg. tests only got a few drops of pee on them.. it will say ether 5 to 10 sec. of content urination to work.

The first test will be the most accurate so I would say that you are pregnant (Congrats!). This is because for the first test your urine would have the highest concentration of HCG for the test to pick up.
The next tests you tried either didn't get enough pee on them, or probably your urine was too diluted so the test wouldn't be able to pick up any HCG which is why they were negative.
The best thing to do is to wait until morning and take another test. You will probably find that test will be positive.
Good luck!

False negatives are relatively common with home pregnancy tests ... false positives, on the other hand, are exceedingly rare. The ONLY way you would get a positive is if the hormone for pregnancy was found in your urine and if it's in your urine, you're pregnant. I'd go to the doctor for a blood test but more than likely, a congratulations is in order.

Your first test would be correct - the thing with the digital's is it takes MORE HCG to trigger the positive than the regular non digital tests (non-digital's are 25mUI vs. 50mUI for the digitals)
Also you probably didn't wait long enough between tests for your urine to be concentrated enough for the digital's to trigger a positive read out.

The digitals have the highest rate of malfunction plus you didn't have enough urine. I have used the first response non digitals and had 100% accuracy.

if it was two dark lines than ur pregnant false positives are rare may just be that the hcg was concentrated enough the 2nd time, does happen. try again with the early morning urine

That is because you only had like two drops of urine on them. It wasn't enough to get them going.
The first test was the correct one. COngratulations.

The best time to take it is with the very first urine in the morning. Your hormones will be higher. So try it again.
