Laptop or Tablet for school?

I'm wondering whether it would be better for me to get a new laptop or a tablet for school. Both can multitask (though android is probably better) and both are similarly priced. I need it for research, notes, emails, etc. Thanks.

For what you need/want. skip the tablets. None currently will do everything you'll need/want for college.

They are handy(i have several, and love my old tc1100).

GO for a laptop, it'll give you more options and storage space, and well as capabilities that no tablet has.

Depending on budget, you can get convertible laptops that give you the best of both worlds.

They have full touch screens, and still have the layout of a conventional laptop. Just flip the screen and instant tablet.

They are more expensive, and generally have better specs than any tablet.

It's really going to boil down to how much you can afford.

I'dl also recommend going to staples or best buy, and just playing around with the devices them selves.

Laptop is the best. Most school projects you will have to do a word, publisher, or power powerpoint presentation. Tablets can't do that yet. Tablets are just oversized smartphones without the phone.
