Induction at 37-38 weeks? What will they do?
I have been told due to my scar (long story) that they will be inducing me at between 37-38 depending on how long i can cope with the pain. How would they do this? Would they take me into the hospital and use a pessary or would they give me a sweep? I was told by my midwife that she cant touch me before 38 weeks. I would rather know now so i can arrange childcare for my other son etc!
I hope they take me in as if i get given a sweep and im stuck at home (Neither myself or my partner drive) and an ambulance would be very dramatical!!!
I did get induced on my previous son but it was at a different hospital and under a different doctor. Any advice would be much appreciated. Jess x

Only your doctor can tell you for sure. In some cases, they do a sweep, and try to let nature run its course. In other cases, the woman is given Cervadil. Other times, they go right to pitocin. You'll just have to ask your midwife.

I don't have much advice to offer as this is my first pregnancy, but you should ask a relative or close friend if they could give you a ride to the hospital when the time comes. It would be totally ridiculous to have an ambulance come get you! Haha =P
