it will take the freezer time to get down to about 5-10 degrees to reset the themo-disc on the icemaker did you replace the water valve also if it leaks water it will freeze your inlet water line behind your icemaker and stop it up

Hey there stephenl1950! I’m Blake from Home Depot’s online community. Typically refrigerators are capable of filling the ice container within 24 hours, although it does depend on the size of the ice maker storage. Some units hold up to 10 lbs of ice, this will take longer to fill. Typical fridges make between 3-6 Lbs of ice per day.

I’d like to mention that if you have a new refrigerator, OR if you have replaced the Water filter in your refrigerator there are a few steps to take before you use your water/ice. The first thing you want to do is run about a gallon of water through your water dispenser. This will remove any loose media from your filter. You will also want to throw away the first load of ice that is processed by the ice maker as it may have carbon sediment in it as well.

I hope this is what you were looking for Stephen!

Depending on the setting. Mine takes about two hours to run a complete cycle.
