Is there any common ground between Atheists and the Religious Community?

I think the majority of both atheists and religious people try to be moral and decent human beings, just for very different reasons.

What "religious community"? Do you mean theists? Because there are non-theistic religions out there, which means "atheists" and "the religious community" aren't mutually exclusive. Never mind the fact that hardly all "religious people" agree with each other.

There are plenty of things an atheist might have in common with a theist: hobbies, favorite foods, favorite sports teams, certain political views, etc. The only thing you can say for sure that isn't on the list, is a common stance on the issue of deity.
