Is Ron Paul just another bought and paid for member of the GOP? Whether you like his policies and ideas or not?

do you think he is just ANOTHER Washington insider?

The conservatives on talk radio generally do not like him. Or think he has zero chance to win.

What type YOU?

Thanks.

I've wondered the same thing. I'm sure people have better explained ideas than myself, but I don't believe that Dr. Paul is as 'bought' as the rest of the politicians.

Why do I think this? Look at how little the media let him speak in the televised 2008 Republican Presidential debates.

He's bought and paid for at least a little bit but that hardly even matters. He is inflexibly devoted to his whacked out Ayn Rand objectivism / libertarian ideology so even if no one is paying him to do it, he is in any event a special interest agenda driven automaton. Paul furthermore (despite his best attempts as credible deniability) has a sordid history of racism, homophobia and misogyny. I understand he has a very loyal (and equally disturbed) following but if Paul ever actually made it into a general election, his baggage would make him probably the most disastrous and humiliating electoral defeat of all time.

I think he'll have more impact this cycle, but that he won't get the GOP nomination.

He does have my support. He's the only politician I actually feel that I can trust. He's the only candidate where I wouldn't feel I'm voting for a lesser of two evils.

The GOP doesn't like him because they can't buy him. And his constitutional integrity scares them. We've grown pretty comfortable in our move away from the constitution, and he challenges that. And a growing number share his convictions of liberty over all else.

Nope. He goes against the grains of the establishment, his voting record has been consistent with his principles, and he's the only straight shooting nominee that doesn't rely on vague rhetoric to gain support.

Nope, not bought and paid for. He's definitely his own person. I don't think he has much chance to win, given that Perry and Romney are much stronger contenders.

I do not believe he is a bought politician, he barely ever accepts any money from lobbyists.

Conservatives don't like him because of his view on the military industrial complex and his isolationist foreign policy.

it seems to me that if he were just like the other gop members he would support the things that those other gop members support. but he doesnt.

Anything is possible at this point. Obama was pretty convincing back in 2008/

I don't think so, but his Foreign Policy is suicide

  • I am a conservative and I can say he is not of the GOP at all. He is a total fruitloop.
