Why should I expect any different?
I know an elderly woman on a fixed income who needed to get all of her teeth removed and replaced with dentures. She found a dental clinic who agreed to perform the steps for a minimal income based fee. The plan they proposed was to remove the left half of her teeth first, wait 3 months, remove the right half, wait 4 months and then get her fitted for the dentures. So everything should be completed in 7 months.
She went in to have the left side removed but they only removed the top left but left the bottoms in...when she called to ask about it, they said oops we must have made a mistake. She had to wait 3 months to get the lower left hand side removed AND had to pay for the service AGAIN. Then she waited the 3 months to get the right hand side removed but couldn't get an appointment for 2 more months. Once she finally got the right hand side removed and waited the required 4 months to go in for the fitting she can't get anyone to answer the phone. For 2 months now she has been calling 3 to 4 times per day every weekday but she cannot get anyone on the phone that can get her an appointment. Anyone that actually answers tells he that they need to transfer her and then the phone just rings and rings and finally a message that everyone is busy please call back.
So now 13 months in she still has not been fitted for her dentures. This is a GOVERNMENT RUN dental clinic. Should we expect any thing differently? This is about how efficient other government entities are run. Why would anyone want this level of service for everyone?

You can find horror stories from both sides of the fence, the problem with government run health care is the idea is ludicrous at its core. Why should the government be in control of such an important part of your life. How do they know what you need, and how do they know whats best for 300 million people? Expenses aside, what does the government feel is worth covering with government health insurance and what is not? That could differ a lot from an individual and a government-run healthcare system. The idea makes no sense.

The government has proven that they can not even be trusted with our money.
And liberals think we should trust the government with our lives.
