Where can I buy metal (framing) studs in WA state?
I need 2 X 6 studs; preferably somewhere between Everett and Arlington. I've tried Home Depot, Lowe's, and several building supply outlets without any luck.
Also, if you know, what are the different gauges available?

GTS Interior Supply carries them and they have an outlet in Everett:

There is a gauge chart at this site:

The higher the gauge number, the thinner (and weaker) the stud will be.
I Believe the 2 X 6's are available in gauges ranging from 16 to 25 but I don't know what they carry in stock.

Look for a drywall distributor, one that the pros use. They will carry a full range of metal studs. The gauges for 6" studs are 20 for most applications, 18 for heavier duty, and 16 or 14 for structural applications. Structural metal framing requires heavier fasteners, as well as welding headers. C channel must be installed in the walls for reinforcement. Hope this helps.
