Which is better: Flaxseed or fish oil?

Or are they basically the same. I've been taking fish oil for cholesterol and triglycerides. Are they basically the same, or is one better than the other? What about the milled flax seed vs the flax seed oil? Thanks.

The omega-3 in the fish oil is more readily absorbed by the body, vs the one in flax. If you're taking the fish oil anyway, there's no need to add flax to your diet.

I personally go for the least processed (milled) than the more processed (oil). So I'd say the milled is better. Less chance of rancidity, you get some of the fiber, and it's actual food vs just a pill (I like flax seeds, they're yummy, like sunflower seeds).

Fish oil is good as it is good for the brain as well. But for cholestrol alone flax seed is better.
