It's getting close, but for now...?

1) Chicago Blackhawks.

2) I'm not excited about any of the newcomers.

3) Dan Carcillo.

4) Troy Brouwer; he was a cool guy, but it sucked that he was asking for too much.

5) Brian Campbell because of his high cap hit.

6) Dave Bolland as long as he doesn't get injured.

7) With what the Blackhawks have now, it's difficult to say how far they could go, realistically speaking. Optimistically speaking, I can see the Blackhawks winning the Stanley Cup, but with very tough teams like Vancouver, Los Angeles and Detroit, it sure as heck won't be easy for them. Of course, it's never supposed to be easy.

BQ* In recent history, I liked Antti Niemi's mask for the Blackhawks in the 2009-10 season. My all-time favorites are Ed Belfour, Curtis Joseph and David Aebischer.

1) My favorite team is the Detroit Red Wings.

2) I am hoping Mike Commodore plays well.

3) I only wish the Wings had 86'd Jiri Hudler.

4) I was really sad to see Brian Rafalski go.

5) I wasn't upset the Ruslan Salei left.

6) I predict a break out from Darren Helm. He's actually going to get the puck IN the net this year instead of just near it.

7) I could see the Red Wings making the Western Conference Finals.

bq* My favorite goalie mask was Chris Osgood's plain ole mask. I really like Jimmy Howard's, too.
