Can dioxycycline hyclate cause nausea?
I take it twice a day for acne and I always feel nauseated after I take it. Is that normal or could it be some allergic reaction?

That's pretty common. Any antibiotic can cause tummy troubles for people. I don't know much about that drug, but if you're allowed to take it with food, I highly suggest you do so. However, please check the label, or with your doctor/pharmacist if you're unsure.

Yes, it's definitely a common side effect that can happen, unfortunately. It's not an allergy, but it can be bad enough for people to need to stop taking it. I know because I've been there, done that. If you can handle the nausea or if it only lasts for a short time, then continue taking it. If it lasts all day long, or it you actually start vomiting, contact your doctor to see if there's something else you can try.
