Croatian Citizenship?

I know now that i must apply for a croatian passport and that croatian bureaucracy can be slow, but what are the steps to becoming an actual citizen? I have already booked a flat near jarun lake in Zagrebu, i also know i must be living in another country and to renounce citizenship but how do i go about it? You can not be working in Republic Of Croatia while on a travel visa no so how am i going to get a bank account and set up there if i can stay only for 90 days. Plus i dont have my grandparents paperwork here in the states and they are deceased now. My boyfriend Lazar and I are planning on getting married there, he was born near trg bana zagrebu so would i be a citizen then?

    To get Croatian Citizenship:

    - you need to have a one year temporarily visa and to extend this for five years (without interruption);

    - to get this one year visa you should or been married to a Croatian, or have a working permit or be a student or joining in a humanitarian organization

    - in having a one year visa, you may work in accordance to the approval of stay

    - after five years you can apply for a permanent visa and after this for Croatian citizenship

    - this will mean: cancelling your former citizenship

    - but: when married with a Croatian citizen (independent on where you married) you will get your temporarily visa with ease and be able to apply for a permanent visa after three years instead of five years.

    I was born Dutch (Netherlands) live in Croatia for fourteen years and am married to a Bosnian woman and it took me twelve years to get a permanent approval of stay..... ; Bureaucracy is terrible in Croatia and even more terrible is the mentality: it;s hard to find someone willing to help you and knowledge level of their own laws is very low.
