How can we say Jesus was free from sin if he was being tempted in the desert by satan?

The above question was deleted just as I was answering it. It was a good question, so here's my answer:

How was he sinning if he was just tempted? I don't get your thinking. Sure Jesus probably thought about having a family, but he was poor and he had a big job to do. Maybe he would've had a family if the Romans hadn't killed him at the young age of 33. I guess we'll never know.

I agree. He didn't sin. if he had sinned, he would have given in to the temptation.

How is temptation and sin the same? We are all tempted to sin. It is our choice to either follow His ways or not.

As far as I know, Jesus was tempted to sin by Satan but He refused to sin. How can you tempt God? He knows all, created everything and already has everything. There is nothing for Him to be tempted with/by.

You are correct in your assumptions dear heart of God...Jesus was sinless. He denied Satan each and every time he was tempted..You only have to know that he was in the desert for 40 days and ate nothing even though we know he was hungry...This for me tells he that he had to be God the Son or at the very least, OF GOD in order to accomplish this..

Why we are worried about Jesus as such? He is already gone now.

One must pick up his good and best qualities and practice. That is all. He was most certainly above level of us- ordinary human beings, so respect him. What ever he has done in his life, you and me are not responsible.

its not fair that you point out contradictions in the bible.

it's too easy and there are too many.

the guys that wrote it were probably drunk but still lets base a religion off it :)
