Where can I find my windows Vista activation code?

If you reinstalled with the *correct* disc for your Gateway PC, you probably have an OEM licensed pre-activated key. If you do a complete, full install technically your OS should not be asking to activate, HOWEVER, I have seen this happen before. You could use a software like Produkey or Magic Jellybean's Keyfinder, however the key preinstalled off the disk that you would be recovering is most often NOT the actual license key for your PC, but you can try it. Probably though, the only place you will find your "activate-able" key is on the license sticker that came with your PC. For this type of Gateway PC, you should find it on the back of the case (see photo). IF it has been damaged or removed, unfortunately there is no way to recover it.

If all else fails, depending on who you get, you might try the activate over the phone method, explaining the situation to the microsoft rep, and they may give you a code to push the activation through. 50/50 shot on this one but at least its something.
