A few months ago I had graphics card issues that related to the windows registry so I had to re-install windows.I only recently noticed that I forgot to activate windows vista.I used a Windows Vista Home premium disc from my gateway pc.I font think its relevant but its a gt5464.where can I find the activation code.there is no code on the disc or on the case

I have about $130 and I want to upgrade my pc (GT5464).I found a processor that is the same type (pentium dual core) but almost twice the frequency.I also found 2x1gb ram which is the max amount of ram my pc will be able to use because it caps at 2gb ram.What I want to know is if my 300 watt psu will be able to run the new heat-sink and fan as well as the larger amount of ram.I'm asking because I know 300 watts is weak but i cant afford a quality psu within my current budget while still upgrading the ram and processor,so would it be able to run it,or would it be killing my pc?below are links for info on my pc,and the upgrade parts.

what psu's would have all the same wires,if more wires but still has all the ones this one does its fine.must have same dimensions.I'm looking for a psu thats 400 watts or more & from a reliable company.preferably somewhat cheap.

I use Norton anti-virus & like 2 days ago it wouldn't let me check my youtube inbox.when I clicked on it it just had the loading screen forever.after like a minute norton says something like "an attempt to attack your computer was prevented" in a pop-up.you can view the full details of the report at the link below,as well as the loading thing with youtube.how can I stop norton from blocking youtube inbox?

I have a gt5464 pc from gateway.it has 1gb pc2 5300 ram.pentium dual core 1.6ghz (per core) E2140.320 gb sata II hardrive.a palit GeForce 8400GS Super+.& a bestec 300 watt psu.a vista home premium os.I play games like assassins creed,sims 2 & 3,sometimes do ps2 emulator.I also use vegas 8,9,& 10 a lot for video editing as well as adobe after effects cs4,photoshop cs3,& flash cs3.I use converters like xilisoft video converter ultimate 6 a lot for sony vegas.& most of the time I'm running about 1-3 programs at most simultaneously. so what should I upgrade that wouldn't cost more than $400 that would improve the performance of all,or at least most of the programs.in the answer could you say if it's all the programs or just most,why I should do that upgrade, and give a link to it at microcenter,target,walmart etc.thanks and sorry for the rambling.

I wanted to know if I could upgrade my desktop processor from pentium dual core, to core 2 duo, or core 2 quad.I have a Intel (Coconut Creek) 945GC Motherboard. in case your wondering I have the E2140 version of pentium dual core.I have a 300 watt power supply.if you need to know anything else just say so and I'll add it.oh and could you tell me if changing from pentium dual core, to core 2 duo will improve performance a lot or if its not even worth it.thanks.

I know why it shuts down, it's because it has no intake or exhaust fan.in fact the only fan type thing it has is the heat sink.I want to know how I could go about installing a fan in the computer because before it shuts down it runs great I just want to be able to stay on it for a longer amount of time which I can't do now because after like an hour it shuts down.I just recently got it from someone who didn't want it. for $30 bucks.Since it has a gig of ram 40 gig hard drive a dvd drive came with keyboard, mouse,and monitor I know I got more than what I paid for,I just really want it to work.
