Why do people pray to Christ, when he taught us to pray to His father?
"Our father" .....;is the first words that He taught us us in prayer. Why do they leave God out when He is the source above Christ?
I have never seen so many WRONG answers to a question. If you don't know the difference between Father and Son,you are more confused than i could have ever imagine.

Hello Apostle Jack, good and intelligent question that you have posted. It is mainly because of escapism. As Jesus gives surety as He is the Saviour, He is the light, sinner wants to escape holding His hand. Instead following the instructions shown by Jesus they want to be satisfied just being with Him, just raising Him to the status of God. They think by flattering Jesus they could get a safer place though they sin often. It is something a kind of escapism from living simple, loyal and philanthropic life. In short this is also due to ignorance.

God is our Creator, our Father and of course Jesus' Father. We must go through the Son in order to get to the Father. Written in clear print in the Holy Bible. So to answer your question...I don't know. Some close off their hearts and do not get it. I do know this, if you do not believe in Jesus Christ and know he is our savior, there is no hope for that soul. Jesus brought us Christianity and taught us as you said...to pray to his Father. How more clear do we need it? The Holy Bible is full of common sense, some just choose to be a fool as it is written.
The Father and the Son are not the same person. God created Jesus in the beginning but he did create him. When Jesus was on earth, he was our Living God. There is a difference but understanding the bible and knowing the bible are two very different things!

Suppose we accept that Christ is the son of god, who is greater either son or father. The logic of Bible prove that it does not impressed the mankind but create confusion about god. It is against the philosophy of monotheism. If i am the son of president, I will also be the President having same powers. Is this logical or illogical. Here the father is greater than son. The teaching of Christ is 100% logical "Pray to His father and not me or Christ.

because humans can't actually communicate with god directly. their vibrations can not get anywhere near that high. Jesus is the closest thing to that source and can channel god through him to you. (just like how he performed miracles) and Viceversa. you can try, i am trying. but i have a hard time even staying connected to Jesus. Let me tell you though, if you do ever get in touch with christ you won't need or want a damn thing else! he is amazing! my faith has not been strong enough lately. i think i need to pray more though and read the bible. Jesus said the only way to him is by faith. so if you are interested, and not sure if you believe, seek and you shall find, the truth, that will set you free. it is so worth it. nothing is better than that, in my opinion.

Blessings. I pray to the Father, thanking Him for every thing, in the name of Christ Jesus. In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God"—(John 16:23-27)
Here in this passage of scripture, Jesus tells us that we should not pray to Him. Yet many sincere Christians spend most of their time praying and petitioning Jesus instead of petitioning the Father. I hear their prayers, "Oh, Lord Jesus, please help me with this or that!" That is a wrong way to pray.
Jesus taught us that it is better to go directly to the Father. "I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." So let's accept his teaching and not tradition. Jesus did not want to take glory away from His Father and so He instructs us to pray to the Father and not to Himself. Jesus submitted Himself to the Father’s authority; therefore, the Father is in charge. This truth is a revelation every Christian should understand. Your prayer life will become more powerful and effective once you receive this truth. Jesus taught His disciples to pray after this manner, "Our Father in heaven." Prayer is directed to the Father, not to anyone else.
Only while Jesus was on the earth, could people ask Jesus for help. However, Jesus said that it wasn't right to ask Him anything after His resurrection. We are now living in the day of the new covenant, so praying and petitioning Jesus is not the proper way to pray.
Someone may argue this point and say, "Why can't I pray to Jesus?" Because Jesus said not to! That is a good enough reason for me!

God the father is not the source above Christ. They are the same. There is only one God. God only communicates to us through Jesus; His human incarnation.

Thank you for your question. I think what you are asking is : can Jesus be God? And so should people pray to Jesus?
We muslims believe in one God. And we believe in all the Prophets in Christianity and Judaism such as :
Prophet Adam, Prophet Abraham, Prophet Moses, Prophet Jesus and Prophet Muhammad. They were all humans and created by God.
For us muslims, Prophets are good men, special people given the guidance and knowledge to guide humanity. But they are NOT divine, including Prophet Jesus. So Jesus is not God. He prayed to God, because God is the Creator and Prophet Jesus is created by God.

Peace be with you.

Jesus said pray to your avatar.
Native americans have a totem avatar.
Orientals have an obelisk avatar.
Northern people have relics paintings and temple avatars.
Many people pray to "avatars", some badly translate them into "vathar" or "father".
Jesus told us to be idolaters. As a satanist I don't pray.

I and the Father are one.
There is but one name under heaven where by a man might be saved.

When people pray to christ, they are praying to a mystical astro-zombie who is his own father, and who requires you to perform acts of symbolic ritual cannibalism in order to be 'saved'.
