Indescribable Arm Pain...?

I have been getting major, yet indescribable arm pain after lying down on and off for a few months. It travels down my arm from my shoulder to my wrist and the pain gets so bad, it raises my blood pressure to above 180/110. I saw my doctor who took x-rays of my arm and did an EKG on my heart and both tests came back clean. Has anyone had anything/heard of anything like this? If so, what was it? Thank you in advance for your help.

Update:

Have not been using my arm any more than usual. It is my left arm, but like I said, my doctor did heart tests, including an EKG and ultrasound, and my heart is not involved in my arm pain at all.

Pain in the arm can result from a number of factors. Abnormalities of the skin, nerves, bones, joints, blood vessels, and soft tissues of the arm can all result in pain. Sometimes diseases that affect other organs in the body, like peripheral vascular disease or arthritis, can be the cause of pain in the arm. Causes of arm pain range from mild annoyances to severe and potentially life-threatening occurrences, such as the pain from myocardial infarction and angina pectoris that may radiate (spread) to the arm area. Treatments for arm pain depend on the underlying cause.
