First things first, I don't even know why this would ever be asked...but everyone knows NCIS wins any day.
NCIS in my opinion is a great show to watch, because it is one of the only shows that the characters really are a family on and off screen. They get along so well it is really like they are one big dysfunctional family. Fans of the show can really understand what I mean, most of their feelings are showed through their eyes or a touch or something which you do not find on most shows. You also have a little bit of everything, DiNozzo joking around, the "sibling rivalry" between the characters, you have all different personalities, from Gibbs to Abby. Which says a lot. YOu have drama, adventure, suspense, humor, romance, everything you need! Haha.
But if me blabbing still doesnt win you over and really prove to you just how great of a show it is here is some more info:

NCIS also has one of the higest and most popular Fanfiction.net forums ever. I believe it is number 4 on the list.
NCIS has become a top 10 program in its fifth season, with an average of about 15.65 million viewers, despite the WGA strike. The show is one of the few that has increased in viewership as it progresses, as opposed to most shows, which decrease in popularity as they fade, and NCIS has even been able to finish a strong second to American Idol, a time slot seen by many as a "death slot" for most series. The most watched NCIS episode to date is the seventh season episode Reunion with an audience of 21.37 million.

Anyways, I hope you (even though you said you are "NCIS hardcore") are now convinced! Haha :)
Hope this helps!

CSI has been on longer, it was named the most watched show in the world again this summer. However, NCIS has recently been on a viewer high with ratings increasing in the last 2 seasons. I've watched CSI since the 5th season and NCIS since the 3rd. When I started watching NCIS, my friends were like, "whatever" then it started to get popular and they jumped on the bandwagon and were like "its awesome!" CSI is my favorite though but NCIS is my #2. As for awards, CSI has more, I dont think NCIS has won anything major in the last few years. Both shows get nominated often but hardly ever win. CSI got Emmy's, SAG awards and a teen choice award (for justin beibers episode).

I like both, but personally I prefer CSI much more because it's a little more hardcore. They're not afraid to push the envelope. It's always exciting and thrilling, even after ten years. They're viewers are over 73.8 million. I don't know the NCIS viewer number, but CSI's is still pretty high. It's been recognized as the most popular drama show internationally, three separate times. This year it's been rated as the most watched TV show. And it aired it's 250th episode this May, as well as been renewed for a twelfth season.....
Is that enough for you??

NCIS: Season 8 had the highest rated episode 'Freedom' with 22.85 million viewers. I personally feel the reason why NCIS is still going strong today is because of how well the writers create the storylines and how the actors themselves bring so much to the episodes.

NCIS wins. 19.46 million people watched a episode on the last season of NCIS compared to 13.52 million who watched a episode of CSI.
I personally however, hate both of them. I like Law & Order: SVU the most.

NCIS is the best. All the characters get along so well in a dysfunctional way. It is fun to watch.
