Kitchen faucet wont connect to 3/8 flow control valve!?

Just bought a kitchen pull out sprayer. It seemed to have a female nut looking like a 3/8. I tried to connect it to a 3/8 Male leg of the flow control value. But it wont get on. How to get them connected? Suggestion please..

Update:

what specification for the supply line?

Update 2:

From extensive research and from the responses, it looks like the faucet is MIP or FIP type thread and the thread type on the flow control is of type Compression or OD...Now I need to find the adapter that is of type 3/8 OD X 3/8 MIP to make the connection going..

Unfortunately there is multiple fitting types that "look" to be the same size.

The best suggestion I can make is to take your sprayer fitting to your local hardware store. Use that to find the correct male to fit. With luck you can then simply read labels to get stuff to match up. Worst case you're going to have to take both the flow control and the sprayer to the hardware store to find what adapter if any you need.

Sounds like your water has tons of forged stuff in it. Maybe from town, probably out of your pipes. Take the aerator off the top of the tap and investigate to peer whether it is clogged with stuff. Be cautious to notice the order of the portions that pop out of the aerator--you'll have got to placed them again. Try walking tap with out an aerator. If it runs loose then the stuff is your situation and is more commonly additionally the situation with the close off. Pieces of rust or some thing at the tap washing machine will permit water to preserve to run.
