    You sir are on the right track but not quite

    the Complement of an angle which means in an x + y = 90 its the y part so y is 2x +15, substitute that in the original equation

    x + 2x + 15 = 90

    3x + 15 = 90

    subtract 15

    3x = 75

    your angle is 25°

    x + (2x + 15) = 90

    3x + 15 = 90

    3x = 90 - 15......3x = 75......x = 75 / 3.......x = 25 degrees for orig. angle.

    2x = 50........50 + 15 = 65 degrees for complementary angle.

    25 + 65 = 90 degrees.
